Hey, thanks for visiting my blog. I appreciate the comments. I have never heard of Susanville before, but I've certainly enjoyed browsing through your photos of the lovely town. How big is it?
This photo is reminiscent of a lot of mine lately...this time of year just lends itself to snapping shots of trees and leaves, doesn't it? I love the angle of this one.
Well it sounds like you and I are both small-town girls. The Walla Walla Valley has a population of approximately 45,500, but the town I actually live in is between 6 and 8 thousand.
The very first place I ever lived in Susanville was directly across the street from memorial park.It was a row of green studio shacks that we called the ghettos. They had three decent trailers there also and I lived in one of those 3. I LOVE memorial park,I have not even been by it in years, how sad. Do they still have the little kids cement wading pool there?
The wading pool is still there, but not in use in more then 10 years. The city had to stop using it. I would guess because of health concerns. I used to work for a few large park districts in Sacramento. The first time I saw the wading pool, all the health code violations that I could pick out were enough to get it closed, lol. It is too bad they never tried to rebuild a water feature. Now there are no funds.
We are multi-level troop with Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scouts. The Brownies meet seperatetly then the Juniors, Cadettes, and Seniors. Be sure to check the right calendar when looking for activities.
