Mt. Lassen
This is Mt. Lassen as seen from State Highway 36. This is still an active volcano. It hasn't erupted in nearly 100 years. It is the southern most volcano in the Cascade mountian range.
Great Picture. I have lived up here almost 30 years now and I had never seen Lassen without Snow on the top. Even in the heat of Aug and Sept. This summer out at the lake I got a picture of Lassen "Naked" This is the first year I have ever seen it without snow, It was so trippy PEACE!!!
And we hope Mt. Lassen remains dormant for another 100 years. Seeing the devastation result from Mt. St. Helens eruption in 1986 I can only imagine what might happen if Baker, Rainier, Adams, Hood, Shasta or Lassen decided to perform for us. Keep your fingers crossed!
We are multi-level troop with Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scouts. The Brownies meet seperatetly then the Juniors, Cadettes, and Seniors. Be sure to check the right calendar when looking for activities.
