Fire on the mountain!

This afternoon helicopters could be heard overhead. In this little area, that means two things. Either life flight is taking someone to the city for care or CDF is fighting a forest fire. We had some errands and as we were leaving the subdivision, my daughter yells, Fire on the Mountain! She was right. It was on the mountain just behind our neighborhood, but looked under control. Not a good sign when fire season starts in April, not a good sign at all! I was able to get a photo with the Lassen 'L' in it! I am having computer and Blogger issues. Some of the comments that others have left are not showing up in the comments section. But on a happy note, spell check is finally working again! Now if I can figure out why my computer shuts off randomly, things will be much better!

Interesting you are having fire problems this early in the year.

I like your photo that caught the smoke.

Nice shot, but I think you are right, not good for fires to be starting in April.

I hate it when my computer acts up!! It can't be good if fire has started already....I thought you all had some good rain and snow this season? Maybe it doesn't make much difference.

I've missed you (but have enjoyed seeing your bridge photo when I would check in :) I hope that your computer issues disappear.

Your photo today is great, but I'm sorry that you all are already seeing fires. I hope that it's just a fluke and that this season isn't a bad one for you.

nice photo, i like the wide area view...i'd be concerned with fires this close also, i guess you prepare for such things there...Texas dries out pretty bad in the hot summers, but most of our fires our limited to cigarette smokers who start fires in the highway medians.
