Wandering Skipper Migration
I wish this photo had turned out better. In late July the Wandering Skipper migrated across Lassen County. This is Highway 44 just outside of Susanville. The entire area was blanketed in these little creatures. They look like small orangish/brown butterflies. It was a site to see!

Hi Jana,
Glad your are back in business with your computer! Cheers from Barbara in West Sacramento
Wow, how weird! This reminds me of a few years back in San Diego there was an unusual butterfly migration where there were tons. Wish I could remember the details now but completely had forgotten till I saw this!
That must be something to see, for sure. I've never heard of them. Thanks for the photo and the info.
