The Community Evangelical Free Church down the road from us is nearly complete. My son (he is 5) debated that this could not be a church because its a steel building and not a 'traditional' Church design. He was hoping it would be a home depot, because what 5 year old doesn't love a home improvement store!?

I guess some might consider it a home improvement store.
Your son is quite observant LOL! He probably does need a new hammer or maybe just a small can of spray paint for artistic expression. -:) Happy Easter!
I prefer brick and mortar for churches myself! I remember when my boys loved building supply places. Now, its Bass Pro Shop.
I think a little home improvement is in order.
Steel buildings are so popular right now. I wish for more variety. But that is a cute story of your son. :)
Your son really is observant! I agree that i prefer the brick/mortar, or even a wooden one... there's a lot of the steel structures going up around my area too.
I prefer traditional churches as well! What a sweet story!
He wanted a Home Depot -- that is so cute! :)
A Home Depot - LOL. That reminds me, we were at the ER last week (not what we'd hoped out of the evening!) and my son said that the new hospital looks like a Target to him. I think it's the color scheme, it reminds me of a Target too.
